Pitfired Pottery Pitfire is the most ancient clay firing process. Basically it is burying the pots in or under various combustible materials (wood, branches, leaves,seaweed,Driftwooddried organic matter) and firing these materilas above and around the pots. These materials leave behind a mark on the vessels- these wonderfull colours, red blues, greens, coppers, golds, oranges. If your interested sign up for a 4 hour class and pit fire for yourself £65 per person including pots and materals. Cal
