Sunderland and North Durham Royal Society for the Blind is a registered charity founded in 1877. The Society provides services, support and advice to blind and partially sighted people and their guides.It organises a wide range of social activities and offers advice on healthy living. An annual sensory exhibition is held in November which attracts over 1,000 visitors.
